It's so charming and 50s and Starlet's First Oscars. Which, I know it's not THIS Starlet's First Oscars, but she's fresh-faced enough to still be able to pull it off. Enjoy it while it lasts, sister.

This is from Fashion Week, and I present it merely to illustrate that I also really liked Natalie's hair last night, because it turns out that her bangs make her look like Lea Michele. Which isn't a bad thing -- Lea is totally cute -- but you probably want to look as much like yourself when you're rocking a cute polka dotted frock at the Oscars as possible.

[Oscars Well Played: Natalie PortmanYou guys know I am not a huge Natalie Portman fan. So you know my judgement here is not marred by misguided love for her. In fact, I don't particularly like her, period -- although I did feel bad for her (and the world) when we all had to sit through that awkward, awkward segment last night where she had to, like, personally toast each of the Best Actor nominees. (I kind of wish she could have just spoken extemporaneously, e.g, "Dude from that movie no one saw, I'm sure you were awesome." "Hey, Gary Oldman, SIRIUS BLACK RULES," etc.) BUT. I think this dress is delightful.
