I enjoy how her expression here is basically, "well, here it is! I hope you like it." I do, Octavia. I do. This is VERY you -- you've worn this basically all Awards Season -- but it is also basically perfect on you, so why throw caution to the wind, tonight of all nights?

I also love how Octavia always has a new dude for her date -- that kid from Glee, that dude from Cougar Town, and here, Tate Taylor. Who directed *The Help*, and apparently fought tooth and nail to get her the role, so....you know, it seems fair they should be hanging out on Oscar night, of all nights.

Not so bad to close out the evening with Christian Bale. "CHECK HER OUT," he seems to be saying. Dude, we are. Don't get all "IT'S F\*CKING DISTRACTING" on us. (Seriously, I'm kidding. Don't get mad at me.)

I know this is probably just a jaunty wave, but I've decided it's actually an invitation to high-five. TO THE WORLD.
