Like the best angel, he pops by to save Jamie's life a time or two, and then disappears onto the battlefield. But not before appearing to be enjoying himself immensely. I'm sure it's symbolic of how Jamie's focus is becoming laser-true, like a spotlight. Tell me that imagery isn't all very intentional. This is where Frank is leaving after their fight, and Claire bursts into tears. That actor was quite good. When the underling suggested killing Jamie under an alias, he gave the guy a brief disgusted look that's also really dismissive -- like, "The ways you are an idiot are beyond even explaining to your pea brain." ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2017/09/outlander-season-3-premiere-17-1505367044.jpeg) Sigh. Goodbye to the Mad-Eye Moody of *Outlander*. You'll be missed, Rupert. What a job done by everyone to make Sam Heughan look SO NEARLY DEAD. Claire cannot believe her eyes and arms. ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2017/09/outlander-season-3-premiere-22-1505367099.jpeg) And THAT smile is quite astonishing also. But I pulled this because one thing this show did was make her hair more tightly curled -- in a way implying Claire either cut it or is coping with different weather -- and it felt true, as did this bedhead.
