WTFlander

Jenny looks at Claire with this sort of airless disbelief pretty much the entire hour. Well, when she isn't yelling at her.

SADSACKLANDER

"IT IS I, IAN, AND I AM EVER SO RUEFUL THAT I CAUSED YOU GRIEF, SO PLEASE DO NOT SMA--"

YOWLANDER

"OUCHHHH OKAY WELL I'D BETTER NOT TELL YOU ABOUT THE KILLING AND THE SMUGGLING THEN OH WHOOPS."

Stitchlander

One thing I want to point out, which I haven't actually checked on, is that all the sleeves on Jenny's dresses are attached loosely with very thick, large, sporadic stitches. I wonder if that's meant to telegraph that they are not wealthy, and so she's adding winter sleeves to her regular clothes because they can't have a whole other seasonal wardrobe. Really clever attention to detail, if so.

MANLANDER

"HEY SIS CHECK OUT MY HOT MAN-BEARD, WHICH IS TOTALLY THERE, TRUST ME, I AM THE JUSTIN BIEBER OF SCOTLAND."

Richlander

One part of Jamie's plan was to take all this to France, trade it for money, and use THAT to pay off Laoghaire. It's a mighty faint hope he'd have made it all the way there without someone discovering this, no?

Daughterslander

No one is ever TRULY ready to walk in on their very recent stepfather stroking the thigh of the wife he thought was dead. The older girl was really excellent casting for Nell Hudson's child.

LEAVELANDER

And then Laoghaire came in screeching and halts  Jamie's attempt at honesty AND at seduction-through-honesty. She ruins EVERYTHING.

Angellander

LOOK AT THIS NOODLE THOUGH. I was willingly and easily influenced to emotion when she was so plaintively asking "daddy"if he was leaving them forever now.

Roughlander

And then SEX FIGHTING.

Spanklander

"Everybody is sex-fu fighting..."

Waterlander

"Water?" Jamie bellowed. "The ice bucket challenge was so two years ago."

Moistlander

That was not the only water on the proceedings, as Jenny heard Claire's tale of Frank and knew it to be at least MOSTLY true. Oh, Jenny, you DO have a heart. You DO.

LaoghaireGetYourGunlander

Hell hath no fury like a woman in a mediocre aging wig scorned, especially when she's holding a weapon she doesn't know how to use.

AwHecklander

I especially enjoy that Jamie's reaction is not horror, but rather, "Ugh, more cuts?!?"

Radlander

"YOU'RE ALL RIGHT, AUNTIE CLAIRE. I DO NOT THINK YOU ARE A KILLING MACHINE ANYMORE."

Needlelander

The scene in which she jabbed Jamie with a shot of penicillin was amazing. He is like WHAAAAT IS THAT THING. Also, this is as close as we get to Jamie being shirtless in this episode, which is frustrating. I hope Outlander realizes we don't NEED plot reasons for Jamie to get naked. He can just DO IT.

Skinlander

The complexions on this show are enviable. Also, Scotland Claire is my favorite Claire. Caitriona Balfe looks so brilliant in basic wools with an updo.

ISpylander

And this is Ian successfully swimming for Scotland in the pirate Olympics.

Dishlander

Hello, you stern hotpot, you.

WhatHolander

ALAS. THE DREAD PIRATE ROBERTS.

Clifflander

"You DO know the Dread Pirate Roberts doesn't keep prisoners."

Shiplander

"Good night, Young Ian! Sleep tight. I'll most likely kill you in the morning."

Outlander recap: The Ballad of Several People
Meet Jamie's first wife. (No, it's not Jenny. THAT would be scandalous.)
