I am not anti-bangs as a matter of course, but I wish I thought they flattered her. This whole hair situation looks like a poorly made wig, and the velvet suit isn't that much better. At least her shoes are great. Sam looks nice enough, if a little Hanes-reliant.
Richard Rankin
It's hard for me to recognize Roger without his beard. I wonder if there was a run on white t-shirts, or if he ruined his and had to borrow one of Sam's extras. Sadly his suit seems too tight, which is a shame, because it's a NICE suit.
Sophie Skelton
I would have worn this without the carefully undone bow tie, personally, It's a touch too much; the split suit is diversion enough. That part actually sort of works, as a metaphor for how Brianna's life is split in half between her present-day world and her time-traveling mother's past. It's pretty funky.
EW's S4 covers
This is a weirdly sexless cover, like he's her nephew with whom she occasionally cuddles slightly inappropriately. She looks cunning and schemey -- a bit Dangerous Liaisons -- and he looks spacey and kind of gormless. Very weird. They're also leaning into a kind of opulence that evokes the France years a lot, but the actual article doesn't make it sound like they spend a lot of time living amid wealth...?
They also really do love making Caitriona look like a painting of herself. This photo again manages to put a lot of emphasis on the fact that she's wearing a wig.
And of course, Sam looks filty and as if he's about to undress, in the blouse they always use for him. I love some tousled Jamie Fraser, but this just manages to look sort of clammy. These two people are smoking hot on-screen; it's bizarre to me that EW can't ever really translate that to its covers.
