Paris Fashion Week, Part Four: Emma Stone, Daisy Ridley, and More

Emma Stone

The theme of this slideshow is that a LOT of these people used their clout with LV to ask for something sane to wear. Emma looks like a fashion editor who dressed for the chance of rain, in a good way. However, her makeup team needs to dial back the brow makeup -- last time we saw her, they suited her face much better. These are too intense.

Okay, but are these two angling to play mother and daughter in something**? Because I buy it. And would buy a ticket to it. **I forgot Crazy Stupid Love! (Although they don't reveal it until late and don't REALLY work together in it. I'm angling for a juicy two-hander.)

Sophie can join the fam, too. (Vuitton loves an iconic redhead, and yes, I know two out of the three are natural blonds, but they came to fame as redheads.) "Sources" have said Sophie is pregnant with #2 (there are also a fair few photographs), although she certainly picked an outfit that does as little to confirm that as possible. She also got some truly hideous shoes. Let's hope they have arch support.

She and Michael Fassbender really disappeared, huh? I gather she was in a few things last year, but didn't do much promo for anything, and he has a gap from 2019-2022 in his credits. I know Covid threw that wrench in the works for a lot of people, but even before that, the two of them really kept to themselves. See, it IS possible, even when you are famous. She even had a baby last year, and hardly anyone clocked it. ANYWAY. She never looks thrilled to be doing anything for LV and this is no exception. She may just want to be napping.

Cody Fern

I was just skimming the American Crime Story recaps we did from the Versace season, and remembering how good he and Finn Wittrock were (also Darren Criss, obviously). I've missed his flair for red carpet drama, and hope that cape gets another trip out of the house soon.

She's a big influencer who's one of LV's ambassadors, and this all feels very lukewarm.

This is the cooler version of that outfit, and YES, I know she's wearing a bra top. I can't believe I said that, either. It's a combination of the jacket, and the fact that she's SERVING when everyone else is sleepwalking.

Y'all left Middle Haim at home?!?!? IS THERE A SCHISM IN THE HOUSE OF HAIM. (There is not, I am just being silly.) Right/Alana looks very nice -- I assume she is there because she's going to the BAFTAs on Sunday; she is nominated -- and Este/Left is wearing two tablecloths. One for each Haim, I guess. Maybe that's why Middle Haim didn't come; Este didn't have a third cloth.

Daisy wisely opted for something that doesn't look like it comes from a '60s video where a bunch of women will jump up and down and hit each other with pillows. I thought her hair was tied back in this photo...

But no! She seems to have gotten a very gamine chop. Her coat is great -- it's Stella, and maybe this is promising?!? -- and while the haircut seems a tiny bit dated to me, it doesn't look bad on her. Three cheers for trying things.
