That dress is a party. It's high-fashion confetti.
This is the Fancy Business Dinner version.
This is the boobtacular version. There is always a boobtacular version.
As much as I love that fabric, it works better when there isn't quite as much of it. I think if they'd done a version with the long skirt and then a white collared shirt, or something crisp to match the long and flowing bottom, then I'd think it was ideal.
To make the slideshows shorter, I do sometimes put two like outfits to one page, but sometimes I just want to look at them one at a time to admire what's happening.
That is... fabulous. Someone deserving had better get there first. I kind of want Ilaria Urbinati to snap it up for Nina Dobrev, because I want Nina to have all of the pretty things.
That's nice, too, but I like the sleeker version. Something about the bodice and the belt is jamming my circuits and not in a sexy euphemistic way.
I keep expecting to find this terribly boring, but it's very well-made in its simplicity, so it could actually end up being great.
Whereas to me that's just a glorified Broadway nightgown. You know -- it's sleepwear for the spotlight.
Major shoe fail, but the dress is great. I could do without the V-shaped seam under her waist, though -- it looks like a thong that's on backward.
I'd love that with a wee less leg.
I feel like Quvenzhane Wallis should grab that in Junior size.
My least favorite of the reds, I think.
This is so nifty, even if it DOES put a special garden right over her special garden. It's the type of dress I could see Julia Roberts pulling out for a premiere, even though she probably shouldn't, because she likes a mini and a slightly more... middle-aged cut.
However, I'd LOVE to see Julia pop out in a full-on gown instead.
Shailene Woodley, with her new short hair all slicked back and some kick-ass mascara and lipstick?
I bet that looked fabulous in person. I'm not sure who could wear it without getting lost. Kate Hudson?
I like the idea but I am not sure about those pants. I wish it were a skirt.
Not wild about the darts... and this looked cooler with the green shoes. A LOT of these shoes, though, give off that dyed-to-match David's Bridal vibe.
Chastain?
Oh, but she loves a lace piece, so maybe she'd go with this instead.
That color... I'm so happy we've seen so much emerald on the runways.
EMMA STONE. GET THE RED BACK AND PUT THIS ON IMMEDIATELY.
Let's put that on... everyone. It looks kind of like a creeping mold, but in a way that I like.
Back to lingerie tops, which are not my thing.
And of course, all the LBDs have to have a little peekaboo in there.
Or a LOT of peekaboo. Can Ashlee Simpson command these kinds of clothes? Because you know she'd want the one on the left.
Of course. Of COURSE there is one of these. It's obligatory, by now, isn't it?
The black Elie Saab stuff really does feel like it belongs on a lady who sings in a saloon and wears a thigh holster.
That is a lot of boob emphasis, and crotch emphasis. It kind of makes her chest look like quotation marks.
Kate Beckinsale, maybe?
And now the white clothes, which are also underwhelming to me, by and large. Especially whatever is happening on the right, which looks like half of her is zipped into a hazmat shell.
This looks kind of like a reef.
So much lace. It's like Schoolgirl Bride on the left, and Courthouse Bride on the right.
I mean, I guess if you're going to wear Elie Saab to work... this is the sort of thing Fabulous Editors wear.
This is somebody's princess Oscar moment.
So limp.
Oh, that is really not helping anybody's boobs be their best selves.
This is more stuff that's basically tailor-made for all the parties before the awards ceremonies -- Oscar luncheons, lesser awards shows (hi, WGAs and PGAs and DGAs), or small special screenings.
I feel like Naeem Khan just made these, and it was better.
Keep it in your hotel room, kid.
This is a very very cohesive collection, at least -- all of them feel like cousins, at the very least, if not super close siblings. Which is great, but also sometimes ends up feeling repetitive. Did we NEED the nipple version of this dress, and in coral? Maybe this bloodline has procreated enough.
And nobody needs a Prom romper.
