I decided to count this as a pattern, even though it's more understated than some of the prints and multicolor dresses in here with it. The feathery fireworks motif repeats, so that's good enough for me! She looks great, except that I wish I were not quite so hyper aware of where her slip cuts across her chest? That's totally minor though. It's VERY elegant.

Cara has been leaning ALL the way in on indigenous designers: Jontay is an up-and-coming Plains Cree designer from the Mosquito First Nation in Saskatchewan, and he often makes avant-garde gowns that reference or utilize traditional regalia. Here, he's basing it on a particular native dance tradition involving ribbons. The way it moves is incredible.

I enjoy that she went with such a different shape here, but it does look a tiny bit like she got tangled in a picnic blanket. She also had a little trouble hugging people because her arms didn't seem to want to raise up that high. Honestly? It gives her tiny T-rex arms, a bit.

Is it metallic? Yes! Is it green? Partly! Let's call it multicolored and bring that gossip Mamie Fish (Gilded Age) to this party. I truly love how MANY of the Gilded Age cast members came to this -- it's right; they SHOULD all get to experience this, especially when nominated as a cast.
