# Patterns and Sparkles at the DVF Awards

I had to Google this one: Apparently, these started in 2010 as part of the Women of the World conference at the UN, and they're to honor women who make a difference. And also maybe so that Diane von Furstenberg could have awards named after her. I'm not saying that's true; just that I understand it being hard to resist. In other news. I'm going to start The Heathers, and they're going to be awarded to women who wear power scrunchies.
