I wasn't able to watch this last night, but it seems that Rihanna appeared, like an angel in leather, primarily to hug people -- and truly, I feel like nearly every televised event would be improved by Rihanna appearing in a leather suit being congenial. She can show up and lead the 7th inning stretch during baseball games! She can moderate this week's Democratic debates! She can take over hosting *Big Brother* from Julie Chen! She can just glide through the background on *Big Little Lies*, looking like the only person in Monterey who isn't abjectly miserable. It'll be *great.*
