Seriously, I just want to sneak up behind her and shear off that train. And then talk to her about how the neckline on this dress reminds me of the black-and-white cookies at Canter's, and does she want to go grab a pastrami? No? Not after I cut four feet off her dress? I can't say I blame her.

BUT COME ON NOW. It's not even that the dress is one-sided, it's that the dress is MULTI-TRAINED. It has DUAL MULLETS. It's BI-FLAPPED. It has BIVALVES OF TULLE. I'd make a "two wrongs don't make a right" joke here, but I need to save that level of total hackiness for, like, Wednesday of Oscar week. Instead, I will note that...okay, fine, two wrongs DO NOT make a right. IT'S TRUE.

And this happened Tuesday at the TCAs. I must admit that I actually think this is fun. Ridiculous, yes, and something that I think was possibly once marketed as a "Sexy Mrs Roper" costume, but I like it. In fact, I would have happily accepted THIS on the People's Choice Red Carpet (with better shoes, and a less confused expression) than the other. At least she's always got that hair.
