## Helena Bonham Carter and Estella Warren

This post is going to combine shots from the UK and US premieres, and this was taken at the former. Neither HBC nor Estella could resist the siren song of the Pelvic Sliver that was so common at this moment in time. Estella's skirt is GREAT, though, and in fact I feel like that whole outfit has a place today. HBC's just needs a skirt-hoik. I honestly did not know she went through a midriff phase.

## Marky Mark Wahlberg

"Marky Mark Wahlberg" is how he was captioned, and that is how I always think of him. He looks like such a CHILD here.

## HBC

This is an unexpected deployment of sheers. It's a cross between nowadays and Fraulein Maris's curtains, and it's the most starlet-y we've ever seen HBC look.

This is absolutely Sophomore Year Dorm Formal.

## Eva Herzigova and Rhea Durham

The inanity of ultra-low pants is really enhanced when they pool around your ankles. EVA. Rhea and Marky Mark started dating this year. They're still married, and I believe those pants are denim with sequins sewn on them in a pattern. It's a WHOLE LOT.

## Tim Roth

I believe these two are still married, and yes, I DID promise you swaths of pelvis. I don't play.

## Grace Jones

Is that a scarf, or... some kind of giant purse?

## Aaliyah

She died only a month later, which is still so sad.

## Shakara

There's so much to look at here, but I guess gravity is doing its job because my eyes went straight down to her wacky shoes.

## Lili Taylor

Lili was about 35 in this picture, but she is wearing the garb of a Golden Girl.

## Tim Burton and Lisa Marie

Tim and Lisa SEEM happy, but he had met Helena Bonham Carter while making this movie and the two of them became A Thing almost immediately. In 2005, Lisa evidently auctioned off a bunch of his stuff that was still in her possession, which... I mean, it's enterprising. He obviously didn't want it.

## Don Cheadle and Brigid Coulter

![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/07/GettyImages-2225361-1658967882.jpg)

These two ARE still married. Well, they weren't actually married here; they got married in 2020 after being together for 28 years. But it's my understanding that they currently, indeed, still married. Don had shot Ocean's Eleven by this point, so I've decided his shirt here is some kind of New Rat Pack bowling squad uniform.

## Molly Ringwald

With the short blond hair, she looks SO MUCH like Majandra Delfino, from the original Roswell.

## Shaquille O'Neal

He had just won the second of three consecutive NBA championships with the Lakers, and apparently spent a great deal of time shaping that goatee.

## Amanda Peet

![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/07/shutterstock_editorial_340351n-1658967943.jpg)

Mandatory Credit: Photo by Erik Pendzich/Shutterstock (340351n) Amanda Peet "PLANET OF THE APES" FILM PREMIERE, ZIEGFELD THEATRE, NEW YORK, AMERICA - 24 JUL 2001

This kind of thing was more my speed in 2001: the jeans, the pointy-toed shoes, and a top that absolutely did not give up any pelvis.

## Winona Ryder

![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/07/shutterstock_editorial_7546528y-1658967962.jpg)

Winona has always had a thing for black dresses, it seems. (I didn't realize the timing when I downloaded this -- she was about four months away from her infamous shoplifting arrest.)

## Nell McAndrew

![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/07/shutterstock_editorial_7546528ap-1658967970.jpg)

Nell is a British model, and while I am not familiar with her, clearly her dress is a department store knockoff of J.Lo's 2000 Versace. It looks like a Garden of Eden craft project.

## Lorna Pegler and Daniella Brent

These two were apparently on Hollyoaks. Congratulations to Lorna for being the first example -- at least as far as I'm aware -- of a person wearing necklaces as a vest which in turn is being worn as a shirt. It's like a fug turducken.
