This is quite possibly the cheeriest George has ever looked, except for that time Nanny hung him out the window at Trooping the Colour. (Not that I think he is an unhappy child. On the contrary. I think he is a child WITH PURPOSE and often that purpose REQUIRES CONCENTRATION and SERIOUSNESS.) We talked about this a bit on Sunday, in the first post about Charlotte's christening, but these two seem to have quite a bond and it's really very sweet. I can't help but think that Wills is doing his best to raise George the way he wishes he had been raised.

Look at that baby's face! She looks so much like Kate to me. I also can't wait until she's a little bigger, and we can all get a really good look at her without having to crane our necks to the right.

This is charming. Wills and Kate look totally blissful, while Charlotte is considering napping, and George is considering the efficacy of throwing a tantrum, just to see what might happen if he did. "HAVEN'T WE TAKEN ENOUGH PICTURES, DADDY? CAN WE PLEASE GO AND FEED THE DOG A CUCUMBER SANDWICH NOW? THANK YOU VERY MUCH. THEN I'M GOING TO OPEN GRANNY'S BAG AND USE HER LIPSTICK TO DRAW HER A LOVELY PICTURE ON THE WALLS. SINCE WE'RE ALL ABOUT PICTURES TODAY. ISN'T THAT A GREAT IDEA? THANK YOU, DADDY. NOW, LET ME DOWN PLEASE."

I wish someone had held up a photo of Harry on a stick. (As a reminder, Harry's in Africa on a three month trip at the moment. They didn't accidentally leave him locked in the car or something.)
Everyone else, however, looks lovely, with the exception of the fact that I have my doubts about Pippa's neckline. (Not that I think she should have, you know, whipped out the cleav at a christening.) I just enjoy how DELIGHTED everyone looks. Except for George. George, who perhaps has realized that today he takes a backseat to his sister and IS NOT QUITE ENTIRELY SURE HOW MUCH HE LIKES THAT, THANK YOU VERY MUCH. Oh, Cheeks. Don't worry. We still all want to squash you, too.
