The lighting in this setup was not uniformly good, so you can't really see here -- unless you really peer -- that J.Lo's dress is pin-striped. It's actually quite good. The hat... not so much. They're like a mobster power couple in the making. The look on her face is sort of sweetly hopeful, though. It's like they just had a huge fight and then quickly made up in the car and she's like, "See, it's fine, right? We're fine? Everyone's fine? We're smiling?!? We're having fun and we're fine???"

Maybe if Jessica and I get a loud divorce and then get back together a week later, we TOO can get invited to a Ralph Lauren show. (I jest. The Daily Mail I KNOW!! claims they faked it for their reality show, but it's best not to follow where the DMIK leads.) They both look nice! I sincerely have not thought about either of them since that time I saw him in an airport actively not paying for a water bottle at Hudson News, and when she tried to nudge him toward the registers, he said, "Nah, they get it," and walked out.

Maggie Rogers

I am not sure that's her best haircut? Having said that, she reminds me of Robyn a little with it, and Robyn is great, so maybe the two of them can do a Single White Female duet.

Diane Keaton

Ralph famously dressed her in Annie Hall, so it makes sense that Diane would come, dressed as Diane. Actually this is more toned down than her usual. She looks like the ringmaster welcoming you to a $1000-a-seat circus.

Laura Dern

John Legend

That coat is truly good, and I'm intrigued by an era of longer ones on men.

Jessica Chastain

This is festive, and also matches the carpet in my grandparents' old condo building in Chicago, which I only ever visited in summertime but which always made me think of Christmas for precisely this plaid reason. I also feel like Blake Lively might have worn this if she weren't busy gestating in Connecticut right now.

I have looked at this photo like 20 times and each time, I stop to check that it's James Marsden. I don't know who else I think it IS? The answer is on the tip of my tongue, and yet I get the sense that it would be a different answer every time. (Angus Cloud could be anyone under there. I barely even know what an Angus Cloud is, on account of how I can't bring myself to confront Euphoria yet.)

I forgot she's a Lauren by marriage. She looks way nicer than he does. He looks ridiculous to me, like he's shuffling out for his morning coffee and plans to complain that his toast is too humid.
