This outfit is hella twee, but she gives it a nice amount of polish. I like to imagine all the people who work in her office both were like, "Man, she always looks so GOOD in her clothes," and sent each other IMs about that neck bow and whether it's a product of George's late-night crafting binges.

She's also having a Wide Sleeve moment. This dress seems overcomplicated to me. That main seam looks like a slim crossbody bag, and then suddenly apparently it's also a partial wrap dress?

In other photos the dress was so much redder that I thought you should be informed. I have no idea which is the truth. However, if that woman behind her is a secret Fug National in her stripey dress: WE READ YOU AND ACKNOWLEDGE.

Here Amal is actually on the job, per Informative Caption: "Amal Clooney attends the Women In The World reception honoring appointment of UN Office on Drugs and Crime Goodwill Ambassador Nadia Murad." She was also shown on a panel with her name in front of her, but we couldn't see the outfit, so I didn't download that shot. But that dress is so charming and professional and polished, and if I worked in her office, I would most likely have THE MOST RAGING complex about my own wardrobe. Which would not be her fault at all, but would still probably cause me to overspend during some REALLY ill-advised trips to Bergdorfs while also scouring eBay. Those shoes! They're so good.

I didn't originally think you could see the waistband in the other shot, but you can, so... this is superfluous. But, here it is again: smart woman busy being smart with a bunch of luminaries. I wonder if she ever has to be like, "Yes, I know I'm married to Intern George now, but I'm still EXTREMELY SMART AND ACCOMPLISHED, AND YES LAKE COMO IS PRETTY AND YES I WISH RANDE GERBER WOULD GO AWAY SOMETIMES, BUT CAN WE PLEASE GET BACK TO THE ISSUES."
