This a romper. A CAPED romper. And the thing is... I am cool with it. She looks fantastic. And if anyone is going to wear a caped romper right now, I would want it to be Hailee Steinfeld. She is at the peak age for this exact mix of glam and whimsy and, well, playclothes.
She's finished this thing perfectly, too. And her legs look how mine FEEL when I have just finished running, but before I actually look at them and pierce the illusion.

This is also perfectly styled. The ponytail, the lipstick.... the beige shoes are a bit Whatever, but in this case, they can hang because they're playing off the lining a little.

I used the enlarge button down there -- the one on the right with the four arrows -- to enlarge this (although I just clicking on it also does that; click again to minimize) and saw that the shoes are burgundy velvet. I like that. This whole thing is nicely sleek.

I wish we had a shot of this entire outfit. I expected the ruffle to be obtrusive, but it's not. There's something very sophisticated about this. Smart styling again, I think. She's at something called Young Women's Honors, so she has to look professional and polished but still On The Cusp, and she is hitting that very specific mark with real precision. Look at me, starting the day with a friendly slideshow! Don't worry. The clothes will devolve from here for a while.
