I mean, this is basically perfect for a daytime photocall in a foreign land. (I don't entirely know why the foreign premieres all have photocalls and the U.S. ones don't -- any wisdom to impart there, Fug Nationals?)

Her suit seems to fit better than all the various things Jack O'Connell is wearing (although he still looks cute).

She suddenly looks like Helen Hunt to me. (Thank you, Jodie, for the strappy gold shoes. You really please my heart there, even if Lipsticktown is still a foreign place for you.)

When I chose it, I did not realize how amusing this shot of Jack O'Connell is. However, Jodie's dress is really cool -- and interestingly, the scallops on the top remind me of a GORGEOUS vintage Dior that's currently at the Met's Costume Institute as part of the "Manus x Machina" exhibit, [which you can see here on my Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/p/BFjVWDRnhRl/?taken-by=hcocks&ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io). Nicely done, Jodie. Classy and careful, all around -- which, yes, at Cannes, you should feel comfortable going a bit more insane, but you know what? Baby steps.
