Well, the makeup is not my favorite -- it's stepping all over her face instead of enhancing it. And that's a damn shame, because the dress is a knockout punch.

Also, she can wear a cape without it looking bulky or silly, which is some tight science. HOWEVER, this peek at the shoes is predictably bumming me out. I wonder if all these huge platforms are failsafe for celebs when their gowns aren't hemmed correctly and they need a quick several inches.

This outfit might not work on anyone BUT Kate Hudson. Well, and Vanessa Hudgens. They seem to be Of A Piece sometimes.

I feel like I'm seeing the shadow of a bra, but clearly no actual bra... is it her tan line I'm detecting, or... but how... the ins and outs of that shirt and her perkiness therein are confusing to me. This was from the Today show, and this is a shot of her standing up in it that wasn't in our subscription. I'm going to GUESS it's Michael Kors, since she was with him. It's pretty good, right? I mean, for something that appears to be made of poppies that were left in the freezer, it's unusual and cute and flattering. Day dresses are our catnip, after all.
