Reese on VF

I will say this for VF: I DO want to know about the State Department's Neo-Nazi problem -- I might argue that "problem" could be too weak a word to use there? -- and about Prince Charles and the Picasso, and the Amazon. That is quite an array.

Giambattista Valli showed these on mannequins, but then also did a weird fish-eye photo shoot in which the model is standing in a very similar pose. I still think this dress is ghastly. It's got a lot of shape to it, which can make for good visuals, but I think it needs a master poser like Coco Rocha to give it the right edge.

I can hear Janice Dickinson bewailing why anyone thinks armpits are interesting. This ALSO, by the way, feels torn from a movie shopping montage. You could argue the pose evokes Lady Liberty, or Tracy Flick sticking her hand up in the air.

The creative for this was apparently just Make Reese Stand In Front of Walls. Then again, if you boil it down to its essence, I guess a lot of photography is that. This feels very hollow to me though.

As does this. The sheer thing doesn't feel very Reese to me, either, especially juxtaposed with a story where she talks about how "magazine sexpot" has never been her M.O. (This isn't quite that, but it's revealing in a way she rarely is.) Also, who does she look like in this photo, suddenly, and... is it Willem Dafoe?
