Reese often leans into strapless ball gowns, and in fact she just came off wearing [a particularly uninspiring one at a Tiffany party](https://www.gofugyourself.com/photos/tiffany-blue-book-gala/tiffany-co-2017-blue-book-collection-gala-red-carpet-2?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io). Maybe that soured it for her a tad. I'm so happy to see her here in something more architectural, and with a lot of inherent drama. It's so soapy. It's SO catfight-in-a-lily-pond. It's right up the alley of Madeline Martha Mackenzie (her *Big Little Lies* alter-ego), who I think would love to slip into this and then have it out with anyone who'd wronged her or her loved ones. Drinks would be thrown, hair extensions would be ripped from their bonds, and regrets would be nursed over Bloody Marys for just the briefest of seconds before self-righteous certainly kicked in twofold. I mean, they ARE brainstorming for a sequel...
