Two years ago, Beyonce provided the voice of Nala in the live-action *Lion King*, and her mother Tina turned that into the theme for her annual Wearable Art Gala that benefits her gallery. Obviously, given the presence of a slideshow above, plenty of other people attended. But Beyonce went that extra Beyonce mile.

I know she very tightly controls her own image these days, but I do wish she didn't skip the red carpet quite so much. Someone at Georges Hobeika (probably a large team led by Hobeika himself) worked really hard on this and it deserves to be gazed upon in painstaking detail; it would have gotten SO MUCH cool coverage from all angles. I like it so much better than almost anything she's worn to big to-dos like the Met Gala. Look at the TOP. I think she is the true king of Narnia.
