# Revisiting Danielle Brooks's Awards Season

Our series of Awards Season Retrospectives continue! ICYMI, [we're previously looked at Carey Mulligan](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/revisiting-carey-mulligans-awards-season-wardrobe-03-2024/), and[ Jodie Foster](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/revisiting-jodie-fosters-2024-awards-season-wardrobe-03-2024/). Today: Danielle Brooks, who was nominated for her role in *The Color Purple --* the same role for which she was nominated for a Tony! -- gets her time in the sun. This collection of looks isn't quite as cohesive as Mulligan's -- although it did have more purple than I remembered -- and it's more exuberant than Foster's. There are some looks here that I don't think totally hit the mark, but when Danielle's team (led by stylist Jennifer Austin) nailed it, they really nailed it. As a bonus: Her hair and makeup *never* missed. Send that glam team an Edible Arrangement!
