If Michelle Williams’s award season was the one[ Where She Was Consistently Nominated But We All Knew She Wasn’t Winning](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/lets-take-a-look-at-michelle-williamss-awards-season-wardrobe-03-2023/), and Michelle Yeoh’s was [The Awards Season Where She Started Winning and Kept Winning and Then We All Knew She Was Likely to Win The Big One](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/revisiting-michelle-yeohs-winning-awards-season-wardrobe-03-2023/), and Angela Bassett’s was one [Where She Was the Front-Runner For a Long Time And Then Somehow Lost Momentum After The SAGS But It Was Still Pretty Up In the Air Until The Oscars,](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/revisiting-angela-bassetts-awards-season-wardrobe-03-2023/) and Ana de Armas’s was the one [Where She Just Had a Great Time Because She Knew She Snuck In There But No One Was REALLY Mad at Her The Way They Were at Andrea Riseborough](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/revisiting-ana-de-armass-2023-awards-season-03-2023/), then Hong Chau's was the one where everyone I know mentioned that they REALLY wanted her to have been nominated for *The Menu* rather than *The Whale.* (If you spent some time wondering what else you know her from, she was amazing in *Watchmen*.)

This awards season, she was styled by the team of Zadrian + Sarah, [who gave a fascinating interview to Fashionista about the process](https://fashionista.com/2023/03/hong-chau-red-carpet-style-zadrian-sarah?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io). I thought this part was very notable:

> From the beginning, Chau let her new styling team know that she wanted to do things differently. "We were sitting around the table like, 'Let's do timeless, old-school Hollywood glamour,'" Smith remembers. "And she very calmly said: 'No, let's not do that. Why would I want to emulate an era that didn't recognize or see me as valid?'"

They also style Ariana DeBose, Lake Bell, Winnie Harlow, and Jane Krakowski (including [Jane's amazing Halloween costume last year](https://www.gofugyourself.com/photos/celebrity-halloween-costumes-2022/nyrps-26th-annual-hulaween-gala-celebration-new-york-usa-28-oct-2022-2?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)).

Let's see how it looks as a whole.
