Among many other things -- "Stacy's Mom" is of course infectious -- Adam Schlesinger was responsible for both "That Thing You Do!" and a couple songs from *Music & Lyrics*, including "[Don't Write Me Off Just Yet](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rydkY4FsMDc&ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)," the one Hugh Grant sings at the climactic concert (which I always felt like that fictional audience didn't PROPERLY APPRECIATE). We were already busily making lists of movie premieres to revisit from the past, and this is a bittersweet reason to bump these to the top. I hope it'll remind you to put the movies in your quarantine queue, too, and I hope Adam would have been gratified to know what an array of his work was beloved. I can think of no finer earworm to give you on this day than "That Thing You Do!"

Sniffle.
