Rihanna LOOOVES a big ol' Giambattissta Valli, that is for sure. It is an instinct I support in theory but not always in practice, and this is one of those times. The dress does not fit. Like, at all. There is no room in that dress for her breasts, and no accommodations have been made for them. It's like trying renting a one-bedroom Airbnb for 12 people and then being surprised they didn't build 11 more rooms for you.

I'm sure she's just checking to see what her nipples are doing, but this feels very Regency Ball to me. She's here in costume as the kind of lady who'd inspire half the men in the room to compose poems about the perfection of her bosom. One of them would even attempt to sing it with a harpsichord accompaniment. She would not be moved.

I would suggest it would make for a lousy night, spending the entire time worried about whether you're fully flashing everyone, but honestly Rihanna might be the last person to bother about that. So she probably threw up her arms and had a blast.

This is really great on her. I can't decide if the blingy shoes play smartly off the massive diamond capelet, or fight it. But damn, did she nail the effect.

Because you all need a closer look at this jewelry, which if I understand correctly is not part of the Burberry suit. I do think I'd have ditched the twee hair band and spiked up her silver 'do. I think the punk edge would've played better with all the diamonds.

That's not a terrible suit, either, but the top underneath is a bit confusing. It has a dress-over-pants feel to it that makes it all weigh her down a tiny bit.
