I love that the woman behind Rihanna appears to be slack-jawwed with delight and admirable and RIGHTLY. This ensemble is obviously bonkers -- but the Met is all about looking bonkers, and it's profoundly creative. We noted in our piece for Cosmo that only Rihanna manages to keep topping her previous looks, and it's really exciting. She never phones it in.

And while my own personal reaction to this photo was, "Rihanna is so cute," this outfit is inarguably weird and intentionally unflattering. She kinda looks like she's (literally) magnetic and the things she attracts are floral fabric samples. There are VERY few celebrities who would wear this. I appreciate her creative ballsiness so much.
