Road House Comes to Amazon This Week, To The Director's Apparent Fury
The new Road House has been bedeviled by reviews citing terrible (and theoretically unnecessary?) CGI, and director Doug Liman essentially boycotting it because he claims it was a bad-faith switcheroo that Amazon released it on streaming and not in theaters (Jake Gyllenhaal says otherwise and that it was always planned to be on streaming; true, or being a company man?). I don't have a ton of interest in seeing Jake step in for Patrick Swayze, and UFC dingbat Conor McGregor is a HARD pass from me as well, so I may leave this one to others.
