Olivia Rodrigo in Valentino

This is adorable on her. It's perfect. She loves the minidress with the chunky shoes, and that aesthetic still works for her, so why the heck NOT. She hasn't been out and about enough for me to feel like she's in a rut, plus she changes it up each time JUST enough.

Carrie Underwood in D&G

She FINALLY starts getting in with big designers, and it's THIS big designer. Of course. She looks both nice, and pantsless. And REAL tan, like maybe she overdid the bronzer lotion on her legs.

Chaka Khan

She may be every woman, but not every woman can pull of spangly boots pulled up over DIFFERENTLY spangly pants.

LL Cool J

Cool James is like, "I CAN DO THE PANTS THOUGH."

St. Vincent

I don't love the shape of this dress, as much? But this outfit DOES have an '80s flavor to it, and that's apt because she performed "Running Up That Hill" to honor Kate Bush's induction (Bush did not attend). As much as St. Vincent's music is not always for me, vocally and vibe-wise I think that makes a LOT of sense. I also wish they'd done "This Woman's Work," because that song really slices me up every time.

Laura Dern in Gabriela Hearst

This is some very carelessly draped leather, no? The bodice looks like a trash bag.

with Gabriela Hearst

The designer came along, too. And she kept the more interesting dress for herself.

Sandra Denton, aka Pepa

Love it. Needs more Salt.

Sheryl Crow

Sheryl looks lovely -- that ring is the PERFECT accent -- AND said she's also going to put out a new album soon. It's been a long time.

Sheryl also brought her kids, Levi and Wyatt, who look super.

Common in Eckhaus Latta

"KNOCK KNOCK." "Who's there?" "Common." "Common who?" "... Wait how many Commons do you know?!?"

Chris Stapleton

His hat is better than his outfit, but I think that's his thing.

Miguel

This is a very fun over-the-top outfit. Something about the size of the sleeves and the angle he's holding his fingers... its making his hands look very small. Almost like they are someone else's tiny child hands. (To be clear, there is nothing wrong with his hands -- it's the optical illusion.) It's making me giggle.

Tom Morello

He looks like he just got a trophy for being the nicest punter in the NFL.

Queen Latifah

First, look at this wallpaper! Second, she inducted Missy Elliott, who was there and performed, but I have zero photos somehow from that part of the show and she didn't walk the red carpet. Sorry, Missy! I tried. Third: What is that creature on Queen Latifah's lower half and is it part elephant?

Behati Prinsloo, Adam Levine

Is he wearing a coat over a jean jacket?

Jimmy Jam

Stylish as ever.

Flavor Flav

A ray of light!

Brittany Howard and Anna-Maria Babcock

I love that Brittany chose a big bold pattern. I don't love the pattern ITSELF, but the thought? Yes.

Andrew Ridgeley

He was there to receive George Michael's posthumous honor. And he looks GREAT. What an outfit. Keep it coming, Andrew. Don't hide that sartorial light.

HER

This all feels VERY right for her.

Sia

Sia says she wears the wigs to keep her anonymity and privacy, but like... it's really easy to figure out what she looks like, because she does stuff without the wigs too? I don't even know. Part of me thinks she does it so that we'll talk about how she does it.

This is her from earlier (or was it later?) that same day. I like her coat. And her face! Which we can see!

Ricky Bell, Bobby Brown, Johnny Gill, Ralph Tresvant, Michael Bivins, and Ronnie DeVoe of New Edition

New Edition performed songs by The Spinners as part of the latter's induction. I love the velvet.

Bernie Taupin

I am VERY glad Bernie got in; that's well deserved.

DJ Kool Herc and Cindy Campbell

Kool Herc was inducted for his massive influence on hip hop, and he looks nice but Cindy, his sister, looks AWESOME.

Jazmine Sullivan

I am not sure if that IS her bra, or a top that just looks like one, but the confusion is not working for me.

Olivia Rodrigo

O-Rod appears to be wearing translucent animal print pants? I guess it's better than flashing the front row (her skirt was SHORT).

Stevie Nicks

Stevie looks exactly as you imagine.

Jimmy Page

He played to honor the late guitarist Link Wray. Guitarists, tell me: How do you decide which half to play at which time? Is one in a lower or higher register than the other? I am SURE that's a dumb question.

Elton John

Sir Elton! Hard to compete with his own photograph, but he looks super.

Willie Nelson and Sheryl Crow

For a second I thought Willie's bandana was a Coca Cola ad. It is NOT. Also this was sweet -- in all the photos they seem so happy to be up there together.

Soooo Many People Wore Black to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Ceremony

And leather!
