I love that this is so thoughtful.

I sensed you might want a closer look at the skirt.

AND the back of her headpiece is a Cyndi Lauper collage. She's basically wearing a highly artistic scrapbook and I love it.

Janelle Monae

There should be one of these outfits at every event. Did you forget to look into pant legs? Are you cold and missing sleeves? She takes ApplePay.

Storm Reid in LaQuan Smith

See? This needs three more inches. Or, some pants cobbled together from Janelle's Stash of Sleeves.

Lisa Ann Walter

She's been watching her best friend Elaine Hendrix every week on Dancing With The Stars -- for real, she is in the ballroom without fail -- and this outfit feels heavily inspired by that environment. Well, not the metal boob cups, so much. Those are a plot twist.

Did we not all have a cassette labeled thusly? I hope she provided a sample playlist.

Elaine Hendrix

She has been THROUGH IT. The dancing rubbed skin off her foot where she has metal implanted (from a long ago catastrophic car accident), she had a weird rib injury that hospitalized her one week, and she was underscored a lot at the beginning. She is AWESOME. I would love for her to make the finale.

Taylor Momsen

She has a great rock voice, and she's been doing the rounds lately talking about leaving Gossip Girl; she's with the same band still, so good for her for standing firm on what she really wanted. I just wish she weren't also so consistently dressed as, like, a fingerless glove from 1986.

Raye in Elie Saab

I love her and I wish this didn't also descend into mesh.

Donald Glover in Valentino

This fell apart with the jeans. Why not black dress pants?

Jack White

Did he match his eyeliner to his jacket, or match his jacket to his eyes after rubbing soap into them?

Brandi Carlile

I love this down to the ratty sneaks. I LOVE a comfy well-loved pair of kicks but this might not be the time.

Cyndi Lauper

A queen forever.

Feist

This is fun but I think it could be MORE fun. It could be MORE like a kaleidoscope.

Feist with Olivia Rodrigo

Unfortunately, she changed. Olivia looks adorable though.

Jennifer Hudson

Very sexy. How was she not sweating her face off?? It was hot in LA!

Teddy Swims

Again, how did he not expire from heat?? The LA sun is no joke and it was visibly beating down on this carpet.

Questlove

I know this is his thing, but: same note. Also, shouldn't he live in the Arconia???

Chappell Roan's Team Recreated the "True Colors" Outfit for Cyndi Lauper's Hall of Fame Induction

That headline could've been punchier, but it's at least FACTUAL.
