Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction

Taylor Swift

Taylor sang "Will You Love Me Tomorrow?" to open the show, and induct Carole King. Whose name I always have to check because I often write, or at least think, "Carol Kane," and they are not the same; one of them hates Prince Humperdinck and the other wants to follow where I lead. Anyway, the catsuit was a choice. She looks like Madonna's hosiery drawer from the 80s.

Jennifer Hudson and Carole King

Jennifer sang "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman," which is nifty synergy, because Carole wrote it but Aretha -- whom Jennifer just played on-screen -- made it truly iconic. I love Jennifer's bob lately; she looks great, and Carole's sparkly booties are fun, too.

Angela Bassett

Only Angela Bassett could show up and represent Tina Turner. I can't rightly say I love this, but the swingy fringe and short skirt at least feels like something Tina would wear, especially as she kicked into swingy gear when "Proud Mary" hits its pace.

Mickey Guyton

Mickey was one of two performers representing Tina, and while the dress again is not all that great, leather does at least feel right.

And Xtina was the OTHER one repping Tina. This is like a combination cummerbund and codpiece. Highly questionable.

Paul McCartney and Dave Grohl

I would love to see Sir Paul and the Foos rock it out.

Drew Barrymore

This is ALSO how I spent some of my weekend! But Drew was doing it as an homage to a Go-Go's album cover, and I was doing it as an homage to every other day.

The Go-Gos

I love that Belinda Carlisle looks like a 4th grade teacher dressed for the class holiday party.

LL Cool J

Has he made a line of tracksuits yet, and if not, when can we expect this please? Thank you.

J.Lo in D&G

J.Lo came out to perform with Cool James, whom I understand the Ladies Love, in a Dolce bra thing. Boring.

Brandi Carlile

She looks fabulous. And when she was on SNL, she sounded amazing; I love her voice so much. I'm glad she's having a big long moment right now.

Jay-Z

He looks nice. He loves those large bow ties.

H.E.R. and Keith Urban

I didn't see yet what they were doing there -- Keith isn't on the list of inductees, so presumably they were honoring someone -- but they seem to be having a fine time jamming.

Nicole and Carole and Keith

And Nicole came dressed as Sandy from Grease after she grew up and discovered Madonna.
