This are amazing. How long do you think people are working on their Royal Ascot hat-plan? Surely AGES.
This woman is going to have to hold her head at an angle all day so that she doesn't whack her companions with her butterfly.
I also always wonder how one transports one's self in such a lid. Do you put the hat on when you arrive? Do you ride in the car all scrunched down? Do you stick your head out the window?
Not for nothing, but I also LOVE the trousers on that man behind her, who's running late to meet his friends. He looks so jaunty!
She will NOT be best pleased if you spill on her, either.
This is like for EVIL ASCOT. (That's not a complaint.)
This is amazing, and she's basically like, "yeah, I already have to just hold this thing upright with my hand, okay?" Anything for HATS.
This is glorious.
There are VERY STRICT rules about the headgear one can wear at Ascot -- at least, in the Royal Enclosure -- and this one is a very charming smaller one, I think.
Do you think these two women showed up and were like, "nice hat!" (They, too, look fabulous. This section of the slideshow is what I like to call A Brief Break for Elegance.)
I am literally convinced that this is actually a prototype for a Rose Parade float she's tied to her head. Which is very resourceful, really.
I seriously JUST NOTICED that one of these ladies also has a BIRD ON EACH SHOULDER. NEVER CHANGE ROYAL ASCOT.
Do we think this is heavy? It's AMAZING.
This is like a giant, fabulous loofah.
And then Steffi Graf showed up.
