Zara Phillips looks very smart; Harry is clearly trying to figure out if he can use his umbrella to jauntily launch his top hat into the air and then catch it, in the manner of one Dick Van Dyke.
Anne seems UNIMPRESSED by Harry's gentlemanly tip of his top hat.
This other dude is Harry's friend Jake Warren and he is TOTALLY Single White Prince-ing his waistcoat game. (The two of them went to Eton and also whatever the British call elementary school together; his Dad is the Queen's "racing manager.") A little known fact: if Harry doesn't wear a yellow waistcoat he BURSTS INTO FLAMES. (He seriously doesn't own a non-yellow waistcoat. He may only have ONE.)
Eugenie is, like, REALLY into beige right now. She's ONLY wearing trench coats from now on.
Beatrice, on the other hand, looks FAB, I think. From hat to heel, including bracelet (!), everything is working for her.
Between THESE cute shoes and the cute shoes Yooj wore the other day, I feel like the York sisters had a convo that went something like:
Bea: I love Kate, but her nude shoes are SO BORING.
Yooj: I know.
Bea: Does she not maybe understand that there are sassy shoes in the world? I know she's busy with that baby. He tried to eat my handbag yesterday.
Yooj: Maybe we should step in.
Bea: Yooj! We can't just be like, "yo, Kate, your shoes are snoozeville." That's so MEAN. She has a lot on her plate right now.
Yooj: Maybe we can lead by EXAMPLE.
Bea: Like, wear patterned shoes that are still appropriate to places and then, like, stick our feet right in her face?
Yooj: Well. I mean, we probably don't have to actually put our feet right in her face. But yes.
Bea: Good plan.
Yooj: Maybe she'll finally give us those Sexual Sorcery For Fun and Profit Lessons as a thank you.
Bea: Fingers crossed!
SOMEONE recovered from the sinus infection that lead to her missing the Order of the Garter shenanigans yesterday in time to place some bets on the ponies. I sincerely thought the white hat floating behind her head was attached to her OWN hat, making a MEGA-HAT, and I am sad this is not really the case.
Here's a good look at Sophie's hat. I may not be over The Feathered Collar incident, but this color is nice on her.
Is this...quilted?
He's totally about to place, like, a small bug on the brim of her hat, isn't he?
Nothing makes me laugh more than people cheering on their horse. You could make a flipbook of these. This one is like, "and they're off. Which is my horse, again?...Right, David Beckham's Left Foot. Come on, David Beckham's Left Foot." (Meanwhile, Charles is like, "shit, where did I put my racing form?")
And this is like, "oh god, we've got a shot here we go come on come on."
And then this one is, "that did not go as planned." I just hope he didn't wager his goat.
