It's right behind her. MOCKING HER.

Burgundy shoes! I assume all accessories were chosen so as to coordinate to match with her poppy brooch (which is lovely). Additionally: the slit on this dress was tacked to within an inch of its life to hold tight as she walked.

You can really see it here. (That's not a complaint. That was a wise choice, on her part.) Also, while we're here, Self Portrait is a VERY fashion-y choice for Kate. I may not always LOVE the choices she's making lately, but at least they're interesting. I feel like...this is fine? She LOVES a white evening gown, and I always find them a little boring, but this isn't offensive and it's not dull, so....
