From what I could tell, this portion of the trip was probably pretty intense; many, many people came out and it's an extraordinarily depressed part of Sao Paulo with a high percentage of crack addicts (I guess crack is extremely cheap there and a very serious issue; the article to which I linked in the opener of the post is quite sobering). As usual, the photographers who've been sent out on this tour have been doing really good work. It must be professionally enjoyable for them to get out in new surroundings. Sure, half the time it's still tree-planting, but it's tree-planting in the AMAZON. [Royally Played: Prince Harry in BrazilI believe it's a law of the universe that at least one member of the royal family MUST be planting a tree literally at all times, or the earth will spin off its axis and careen into the sun. That said, the world needs trees, and if it's okay with the Lorax, it's okay with me.
