## Princess Charlotte - Official Photographs Released Ahead Of First Birthday

This child loves a cardigan. (I THINK this might be [the same cardigan she's wearing in the new portrait with the Queen](https://www.gofugyourself.com/full-size-image/1103347?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io#imagetop).) I'm sure she and her Great-Granny have lengthy chats about their most favorite cardigans. (I also just realized that I myself am currently wearing a cardigan as I type this. Cardigans for all! Also, the word "cardigan" has now lost all meaning.)

Here, she looks like Her Maj to me -- although one of you pointed out to us on Twitter that she ALSO appears to be the youngest member of Princess Anne's Royal Detective Agency. And it's true: NO ONE suspects that a baby will be the person to crack a case.

She looks SO MUCH like Wills to me in this picture, and also I want to chew on her fat little baby hands and I will not apologize for that.

"I've got places to go and things to do, everyone! Happy birthday to me and you'll find the Bloody Mary bar set up on the sideboard in the drawing room. Ta!"

PS: I'm pretty sure that's Lupo way in the background, presumably digging a giant hole in the lawn into which later, post-Bloody Mary bar, Prince Harry shall fall. Happy birthday indeed.

[Royally Played: Princess Charlotte's First Birthday PortraitsThis has been a very busy couple of days on the Kensington Palace social mediums! Yesterday, Kate's British Vogue cover was released, and today, they released pics of Charlotte to celebrate her first birthday (which is May 2nd). And you know what that means! Time for a rousing round of Which Relative Does This Cuddly Child Most Resemble? \[PS: For reference, these are George's first birthday pictures. To me, she looks like Wills. And kind of like the Queen. Although it's becoming more and more possible that every baby looks like the Queen.\] \[Photos: HRH The Duchess of Cambridge via Getty Images\]![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/bf/b9/bfb99790-924d-4e41-a7e6-5e3c6e04fe57/content/images/static-gofugyourself-com/uploads/2016/05/gettyimages-526783032_594_screen.jpg)](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/royally-played-princess-charlottes-first-birthday-portraits-05-2016/)
