Per my sources at What Would Kate Do?, this Hobbes dress is also the one she wore at The Great Holiday Hand-Holding of 2014. I have no beef with a shirt-dress. I know some of you will find fault with the brown dress/black shoes combo, however. I do wonder if having a patterned shoe in your Shoe Wardrobe would solve this problem. LEOPARD PRINT KATE.
Informative Caption Time: "Pregnant Kate Middleton attends an event hosted by The Fostering Network to celebrate the work of foster carers in providing support to vulnerable young people." (A) That's a good cause! And (b) it's always a bit of an eyeroller when Informative Caption reminds me that she's pregnant. I sort of wish Informative Caption would start throwing in all kinds of random descriptors of people, though. "Left-handed Prince William today attends the opening of a Useful Widget Factory," "Red-haired Prince Harry appears at the end of the Annual Gloucestershire Three-Legged Race." "Gnarly-cuticled Princess Anne apprehends serial forger Mr. Bates in tense stand-off at the Marble Arch." Etc.
"And then I was like, 'Harry, you cannot bring a goat to Christmas. You Know Who will freak out.' But he got so mad and we haven't spoken since. I don't know. What should I do? Can you pass me that tiny sandwich? Thanks."
Time for the Cute Children Greeting People portion of the event -- and frankly, I feel like every red carpet would go better if all the celebrities were first asked to run a gauntlet of tiny people and/or farm animals. Can't you just see it? Cate Blanchett arrives at the Oscars, greets three small children in tiny puffer coats, then pets a winsome llama on the way to talk to Giuliana, who is stationed in the goat yard, a goat peacefully gnawing on the hem of her gown.
"My brother-in-law is a ginger too. He's LOADS OF TROUBLE."
Apparently, Kate took a particular shine to this baby and frankly, how can you not? I can tell that this child is TOTALLY SQUEEZEABLE and that's only from seeing the side of her cheek. (I have a Cheek Weakness. A Cheekness.)
