I am obviously going to open with the photo that includes The Heavenly Beam of Light on The Hair.
There were A LOT of waves at today's three events. Today's informative caption comes not from our photo service, but is, instead, info about today's events that I got from our friends at What Would Kate Do? and thanks to their helpful weekly wrap-up. AHEM: "The first [event] is a group coffee at Family Friends, which is a group that matches volunteers with parents, children, or adolescents. Kate will then open the Kensington Aldridge Academy, which is a new school that focuses on the creative and performing arts. Catherine’s final engagement will be the opening of the Kensington Leisure Center." Which is all well and good, but let's also see more of that dress.
This seems more like a high five request than a wave, actually. DO NOT LEAVE A DUCHESS HANGING.
"That kid at the last place totally wouldn't high-five me. It's giving me a complex."
This is the best. This is a giant inflatable duck for George to use while he's learning to swim (they have swimming lessons at the community center -- or community centre, properly, as they're Brits). I feel like George will take that duck and start bashing people over the head with it, violently and willy-nilly. I hope he starts with Harry.
As you guys know, I cannot resist any photo that involves: pointing, finger guns, high fives, the appearance that anyone is levitating (themselves or a ball), and any walkabout that's artfully backgrounded by colorful waving flags. There's a real lack of tiny flags being waved in my day-to-day life.
"And THEN they taught me how to levitate! No, REALLY. But we're only allowed to do it at Balmoral for some stupid reason. Don't ask me why. Anyway, I'll teach you guys later if you promise not to tell."
"LeBron? I'd say about THIS tall. No, truly, very tall."
"All right, girls. We're going to annihilate this other team. I want you to double-team that tall one they've got, and I want you to play dirty. Don't worry about fouls. None of them can shoot free throws worth a damn. Just hack away and -- wait, we are playing basketball, yes?"
I feel like this is the look she gets on her face when Harry comes slouching into the kitchen and is like, all gloomy, "I have a problem." Never fear, Harry: THE DOCTOR IS IN.
This was actually earlier in the day -- the dress was not under wraps for that long -- and it will not surprise you to hear that I love this dress. (I love a boatneck AND a pattern, and I apparently always love the boatneck patterned stuff she wears when she's pregnant.) I also want to know more about the sandwiches in front of her. Why don't Informative Captions ever say, "also, the Duchess was served sandwiches of smoked salmon, cucumber, and cream cheese on pumpernickel bread'?
Apparently, this sweet little dude got scared when the time came to give Kate the flowers and he didn't want to do it. And who can blame him? IT'S A HIGH PRESSURE SITUATION, OKAY?
