Now. You know I love a houndstooth -- I LOVE ONE! -- but [I just learned from the Duchess Kate blog that this coat comes with a belt](https://hrhduchesskate.blogspot.com/2015/12/kate-in-houndstooth-reiss-coat-for.html?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) and while I like this, I personally think it is better with the aforementioned belt. Sigh. I will never be satisfiiiiiiiied.

I also like the standy-uppy collar, which is an official fashion term.

I also want to give a shout-out to this woman in her fur beret for BRINGING IT. She looks festive AND cozy.

If you're thinking, "I feel like I've seen that dress before. It was in a land down under," [you are totally correct](https://www.gofugyourself.com/well-played-kate-wills-and-georges-royal-tour-of-australia-and-new-zealand-day-seven-04-2014/the-duke-and-duchess-of-cambridge-tour-australia-and-new-zealand-day-7-3?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io). (That post, by the way, has a lot of flirting, Wills driving a tractor, white water rafting, AND children playing sports, if you care.)

"That wind is blowing my fringe right into the rest of my hair as if it didn't exist, isn't it? At last, my mastery of the elements is complete."

[Royally Played: The Duchess of Cambridge in Emilia Wickstead and ReissDon't you think Kate got home and took this coat out of the bag, walked it into her closet, saw this Ralph Lauren hanging there, and muttered, "aw, shit, Middleton. You did it again." \[Photos: Getty\]![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/bf/b9/bfb99790-924d-4e41-a7e6-5e3c6e04fe57/content/images/static-gofugyourself-com/uploads/2015/12/gettyimages-500788112.jpg)](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/royally-played-the-duchess-of-cambridge-in-wickstead-reiss-12-2015/)
