Wills, Kate, and Harry

(A) It appears that riding around with your head popping out of the top of a Range Rover IS as fun as it seems.

B) It seems that it rained in London today and I am always secretly a bit pleased that Kate's hair DOES have the capacity to fizz out.

C) Harry and Kate are so coordinated today. If only Wills had worn a salmon-colored tie, and brought it all together. (Wills totally does not own a salmon-colored tie.)

Kate in Roksanda

I don't have the energy to get into footwear today; I trust you know what is in my heart. That said, I actually really like this dress. I DID have a moment -- as a lot of you did, judging from Twitter -- where I thought she was wearing a cropped top, and that TOO would have been thrilling.

Kate in Roksanda

I dig the stripe up the side of this skirt.

Harry, Kate in Roksanda, Wills

Kate's having a real Exposed Zipper Moment this week, as her Roland Mouret frock from Thursday also had one. I personally sometimes appreciate an exposed zipper, especially on a day dress, but I realize this is divisive. Additionally, I hope Kate takes this car and starts traveling EVERYWHERE in it, like a modern version of the old school Royal Procession. She can wave at everyone whilst she's driven to the market or The Gap. On the way home, she can wave around her purchases for everyone's information and enjoyment. "Look, I got Wills some socks! Hey, here's a nice bunch of radishes!"

Kate, Wills, Zara, Mike, Phil

In which we discover Kate has a stripe on but one side of her skirt, appreciate Zara's white coat, and admire Mike's tremendous Rugby Nose.

Eugenie, Beatrice, Andy

A round of applause for both Sisters York from me. Eugenie is in Whistles and I really want that dress. I don't have a credit for Bea's skirt yet, but I obviously want it also. These stripes are a clear plea for my approval, ladies...

Princess Eugenie

...and approve I do. (Euj's frock is still available, FYI, in case you need to spend your feelings.)

Sophie Wessex

I also suspect that Sophie looks lovely. (I am waiting to see if I can get a better photo of the rest of her dress, but I assume it doesn't turn into culottes with the bum cut out, or anything.)

Princess Michael of Kent

Princess Michael of Kent is uploading SO MANY PICTURES to her private Facebook group, which is primarily devoted to the appreciation of turbans and turban-adjacent head-gear.

Wills, Zara, Harry

I most just pulled this because Zara's face makes me happy. Allow me to take this time to share Informative Caption: "10,000 guests have gathered on The Mall for a lunch to celebrate The Queen's Patronage of more than 600 charities and organisations. The lunch is part of a weekend of celebrations marking Queen Elizabeth II's 90th birthday and 63 year reign. The Duke of Edinburgh and other members of The Royal Family are also in attendance. During the lunch, a carnival parade will travel down The Mall and around St James's Park."

QE2, a bird, Phil, Wills, Kate, Harry

The Queen looks lovely here, but let's get real. The ACTUAL star of this photo is that bird.

Royally Played: The Patron's Lunch To Celebrate The Queen's 90th Birthday
I cannot just launch into blabbing about Kate's dress without acknowledging the horrible, heartbreaking tragedy that occurred in Orlando early this morning. Equality Florida (that state's LGBT civil rights organization) has set up a Go Fund Me to aid the victims of the shooting. We've tweeted additional ways to help at our Twitter feed (for example, at the moment, Orlando-area hospitals are in desperate need of blood; we've also tweeted info about contacting your elected representative if you feel the urge to do so). To all our friends celebrating Pride this weekend (and any other day of the year), we love you. My heart is heavy today. But the show must go on, and, to quote Ross Geller, I am going to PIVOT! to discuss today's ensembles. I hope that Harry's ginger beard may help all of us to feel a little bit better.
