The answer to our burning question is: No. Prince Carl Philip did not shave, nor did he get a haircut. (I like the facial hair, actually, but he COULD use a trim, right?)

Regardless, they both look VERY happy and she looks lovely and he is dashing -- if this were a book, he'd have missed his haircut because he was saving a child from a burning building or something. Additionally, let us all thank Sarah Burton and our lady of Middleton for bringing back lace sleeves.

I actually thought her dress was going to be more bombastic, though I have literally no reason to have decided that, other than the fact that I just did so. Other than her ginormo train, it's actually rather simple.

Thanks to Order of Splendor for the intel on Sofia's tiara, which is new, and a gift from her new in-laws. I do love an emerald, and I actually think this is gorgeous, but I wonder if it needs to be pushed up a little closer to her face? Let's discuss.

I'm also always a little bit doubtful about the "Let's Just Shove The Veil Into Your Bun" concept. But these are obviously nitpicks.

There was A LOT of Happy Gazing at this wedding, which I always appreciate. You also have to be impressed by the fact that they managed both to gaze adoringly at each other AND successfully negotiate those stairs without falling ass over tea kettle.

WHAT A HIDEOUS LOCATION. (It's the Chapel of the Royal Palace in Stockholm. I watched a bit of the post-wedding shenanigans online, where I kept forgetting that I don't speak Swedish, and learned anew that Stockholm is very pretty.)

I always vote YES for a dramatic train. The more dramatic the better. As long as you can still fit into your carriage, I suppose. (That's a very important rule of thumb for princesses and duchesses and anyone who might have an occasion wherein she wears a gown in a carriage. I don't know your life.)

They seem legitimately super, SUPER happy and crazy about each other, which is always what you want to see at a wedding. Unless you are, of course, the aforementioned soap opera super villain AND YOU MIGHT BE, in which case I assume you mostly want to see, say, someone drive her car into the church to stop the wedding. That did not happen today.

KISSING KISSING KISSING! I mean, ahem, congratulations on your successful nuptials.

Triumphant faces of happiness! I really love this picture. These two have A LOT of piano photos coming out of today.

Including this one. This feels very "WE PULLED IT OFF, CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!" which is apt, I suppose, when you are marrying someone/are someone who was once on Paradise Hotel. I did not know that about Sofia and the truth is that it makes me like her more, because Paradise Hotel was an amazing piece of television. The American version, at least, was the world's most confusing reality show -- they would change the rules MID EPISODE -- and I treasured it. And From Paradise Hotel to the Palace is going to be a great autobiography one day, so I am fully behind this. All of it! Mazel tov, you two crazy kids! I wish you all the happiness in the world.
