The Duke and Duchess invited the Press Association's Royal Photographer John Stillwell to take the photographs earlier in the week. This was their first holiday as a family of four and the first time either of the children have played in the snow. It was very special and a fun short holiday for the family and they are grateful that John Stillwell was able to capture the moment so well." Second, this is an excellent picture of them: Kate looks quite pretty, Charlotte is getting so big, William's ski cap conceals whatever may or may not be happening on his head (the Cambridges may ONLY be doing events that require hats henceforth; I look forward to 2016: The Year of Hard Hats), and George. Oh, George. George is like, "MOTHER I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU'VE ASKED ME TO STOP ROLLING DOWN THIS SNOW-COVERED MOUNTAIN TO JUST STAND HERE. IT'S TERRIBLY BORING, MOTHER. MOTHER, WHO CARES? MOTHER CAN I PLEASE GO EAT SOME SNOW NOW? THANK YOU VERY MUCH, GOOD-BYE EVERYONE." What? IT'S A CUTE HAT. And babies in snowsuits really *are* a powerful way to remind the public that, regardless of how you may or may not feel about their parents right now, OH MY GOD THESE CHILDREN ARE CUTE. (I do, of course, think it's interesting that these pics have been released so shortly after the kerfuffle that Wills doesn't work enough; not in the Conspiracy-Theory sense, just because, as you know, I am obsessed with Royal Family PR logistics. He and Kate have several events on the docket for this week, and I imagine these photos were always meant to be released right now; it would have been weird to do it AFTER everything, and who can resist these be-snowsuited heirs? I both think she looks just like her great-grandmother AND think she looks like Kate, so....basically I have no idea what I'm talking about. I kind of want to grab her cute little red nose, but I'm pretty sure that's against protocol. ## Wills and Kate and George and Charlotte ![Prince William and Duchess Kate Take George and Charlotte Skiing](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2016/03/GettyImages-514133574.jpg) There is a long history of the skiing vacay photocall in the British royal family, and it's always a bit more casual than we see them on official business (which makes sense), but this is arguably the most casual we've ever seen these two in a snap that was intended for public consumption. (Their engagement photo is SNUGGLIER but also shot by Mario Testino so how casual can it be?)
