This is a fashion risk for BOTH of them, and I'm so proud. You take no fashion risks, you earn few fashion rewards. (Wills's blazer is a subtle glen plaid and his pants are -- I think -- charcoal.) For what it's worth, I actually really like Kate's dress -- it's sort of like the white Zimmermann she wore on their trip to Oz and NZ, except on steroids -- but I suspect it will prove to be divisive among Fug Nation. But, you guys: RED SHOES.

Informative Caption tells me that the whole crew visited "the Canadian Coast Guard and Vancouver First Responders Event at Kitsilano Coastguard Station," among other things. I feel like the Cambridges and the Trudeaux are likely to get along. They have a lot in common -- young parents, a couple in the public eye, and, although it's not the same in orders of magnitude AT ALL, PM Trudeau having grown up with prominent parents means he probably can relate to William's life in a way.

Speaking of Bringing It, it appears Vancouver also brought out its MOST ADORABLE CHILDREN. Here, Informative Caption tells me, "the Duchess of Cambridge receives flowers during her visit to the Immigrant Services Society of British Columbia New Welcome Centre," and oh my god. How cute is this kid? SO CUTE.

I figured you'd want to see Kate patting Wills's thigh IN PUBLIC, like a COMMON TRULL. Hang tight everyone. We'll have these two holding hands in public before they're 60. I personally know I shall not rest until that day comes.
Wills and Kate Arrive in Canada
This also happened yesterday and was apparently "a meeting of senior Canadian Leaders at Government House," but it really looks like Justin Trudeau hosts a public access chat show with a HUGE floral budget. It's called Just Trudeau It! and it's a hoot.
