I confess that my reaction to this is STILL, as it was at the time, BABIES!!!!!

I am basically powerless in the face of a man with his shirt-sleeves rolled up, holding a tiny baby. (I suspect Kate felt the same way at this moment.)
"EVERYONE IS SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW."
This time last year, I spent hours watching a closed hospital door and kept waking up in the middle of the night to check Twitter to see if Kate had had that baby yet because if so, I knew I had to fire up ye old laptop and start typing. Secret: being on Royal Baby Alert was pretty fun. It was also fun that time we stayed up all night to live-blog their wedding, so it's possible I just really like staying up all night waiting For Things To Happen In London. Let's do it again!
This picture might actually give me feelings. (I'd pretend this was a revelation, but surely you all know by now that my crispy outer crust of bitch is just concealing an extremely squashy inner sentimentalist who cries at coffee commercials.)

You know that somewhere, Lupo is like, "I can't believe you left me out of the new photos, you guys. Seriously. I'm RIGHT HERE." Can we also get an official photo of the Royal Dog? I would totally tweet out dog photos as soon as they hit the wire. Don't test me. (This pic, of course, is noteworthy also because Will is kind of grabbing Kate's bum. AS IT SHOULD BE.)
In case you want to revisit the christening, our original post is right here. Even at this point, that baby is like: THOUSAND YARD STARE. SUPER BORED OF YOUR POMP NOW. Prince George has never been impressed nor delighted with anything that has ever happened to him, ever. Except perhaps all the things he's gotten to eat and the hair he's pulled and also that time he got to go over there IMMEDIATELY for once.

"Please take this dress off me now, Mother. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR PROMPT ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER." Additionally: this child's entire face was apparently dreamed up by Hans Holbein in the afterlife. He just LOOKS like a Tudor-era portrait that's currently secretly moldering in the attic of some old pile somewhere.

I may never get over the way he's looking at that dog. (I really love this shot.)
There's a reason What Would Kate Do? calls him CHEEKS. Because you just want to eat them. Gently.
"Please take me over there, now. PLEASE. THERE. NOW. I do not understand why we are not going in the direction I have requested."

I believe this is the expression he assumes when he is being taken THERE, NOW, FINALLY. It is INTERESTED ANTICIPATION. (This applies to George, too.)
If were 1550 or what have you, we'd probably all be frittering around the court observing that we KNOW he's young, but that baby is going to make a serious, no-nonsense king who suffers no fools and cannot be swayed by frivolities and ergo gets shit done. And then we'd have to go break up a duel being fought in our honor (or honour, I guess, since none of us would be speaking American English in 1550), or back into the serving quarters to shine the mead mugs or back to the stables to flirt with the grooms or roll over and die of the plague or whatever we'd all be otherwise consumed with in 1550.

I just noticed this bear is slightly blue, which means it will nicely coordinate with all of William's best outfits.

We have ALL OF US wanted to do this. Don't even lie. Not on this day of all days.

We have actually probably all ALSO wanted to do this. (Snuggle George, I mean. Not hug Kate, while William stares off discreetly into the middle distance and lets you have your moment. Well, maybe that, too, actually. I don't know your life.)
FOREARMS. Erm, I mean GEORGE.

Snuggles!
DEMANDING TO BE ALLOWED DOWN EVEN IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY ZOO WHERE ONE COULD CONCEIVABLY BE TRAMPLED BY PEOPLE AND ALSO WILD ANIMALS.
I suspect this is probably the face I too make every time I am confronted with airline travel.

"Daddy, please take me inside the aeroplane and begin the in-flight entertainment, which I assume will be you juggling the cutlery and also standing on your head. THANK YOU. I DO MEAN NOW."
"I plan to just FLY MYSELF NEXT TIME THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH."

I sincerely think this is the first and only photo I have where he appears to be doing something as BANAL as CHORTLING. Banal...And extremely cute.

Everyone loves a giant wombat. THANK YOU.

"I can't wait to get home where there will be far fewer people staring at me and there are all new things waiting for me to try to eat. PLEASE TAKE ME HOME SO I CAN CONTINUE TO EAT NEW THINGS THANK YOU."

Someone is REALLY on the move now, as we saw in the new pictures. William said at one of their events last week that he is running all over the house and opening doors. And I imagine it's TERRIFYING. (George is, rather. I don't think Wills has a door-opening fetish. But maybe he does. I hope to read about it in Harry's juicy tell-all, The Spare Speaks, published in 50 years from now and beamed into our eye holes or however we're all going to be reading IN THE FUTURE.)

Terrifying, and yet also snuggly.
"AT LAST, I am pleased. THANK YOU FOR BOTTLED WATER THIS IS ALL I HAVE EVER WANTED HOW DID YOU KNOW."
AND HE'S OFF.
