Royals Round-Up, April 19th 2019

Dubai Duty Free Spring Trials Weekend,

Ne'er did Her Majesty ever seem happier than at some kind of horse-related shenangians! Even if she did accidentally leave her brooch at home. (It cracked me up that everyone on Twitter was like OMG WHERE IS HER BROOCH!?!?!?!?! It IS weird to see her without one!)

THE BROOCH IS BACK, BABY.

Bea looks very cute here; her boyfriend looks surprised by the press, but get used to it, babe.

Fergie -- who was dining with Bea and her beloved -- seriously looks like me on a long plane flight. Compression socks, slip-on shoes, leather jacket, and a GIANT SCARF you can use as as blanket.

Informative Caption tells us that, here, "Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko visit Ise Jingu, considered to be the most venerable sanctuary in Japan, to participate at a ceremony to pay respect at the shrine ahead of the Emperor's abdication on 30 April." The Empress looks stunning, as usual. That abdication should be interesting.

I ALWAYS enjoy this OdlR on Maxima -- she previously wore it when she and W-A visited London. It's so cheery.

King's Day Concert

This is very glam for a beige gown! (If these two were ever to break up, I would be distraught.)

Queen Maxima

This is also very charming -- houndstooth ahoy! A good week, on the whole, for Max.

It was Queen Margrethe's 79th birthday -- she looks spry, as ever! -- and thus she and her immediate family came out and waved, as they do. This is my favorite genre of Royal Photo, the kind where everyone is looking in a wholly different direction.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary

At first glance, I thought Frederik was in jeans -- au contraire! He's doing some high-level pattern mixing here.
