## Prince Albert and Nadia Comaneci

Well, in fairness, who would NOT dance with Nadia, if given the chance?

## Prince Albert at the Basketball

Who would not take jovial selfies, at the Olympics?

## Princess Anne and Prince Albert

I feel like Charlene can rest easy knowing that Albert won't get in TOO much trouble, because Princess Anne has her eagle eye affixed upon him at all times.

## Princess Anne

Well, when she's not checking on the fine musculature of Team GB.

## King Philippe and Queen Mathilde

![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2016/08/GettyImages-586325534.jpg)

I like the tweedy fabric on Mathilde's opening ceremony frock.

## Crown Prince Frederik

![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2016/08/GettyImages-587174922.jpg)

For those of you who need to see what it would look like should Crown Prince Frederik do the wave.

## Crown Princess Mary

![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2016/08/GettyImages-586324050.jpg)

Back in the UK, Kate fiercely bites off the top of a Popsicle and mutters that she's missing all the sports AND all the good blazers.

## Crown Princess Mary

Crown Princess Mary left the Olympics fairly swiftly and came back to Copenhagen for Fashion Week, which she always attends. I suspect this coat is good.

## Prince Maximilian of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg And Franziska Balzer

Because there is nothing we love more than random Euros getting married, and this wedding is a mouthful. Behold your bride and groom: Maximilian Prinz zu Sayn Wittgenstein-Berleburg and his wife Franziska Balzer! Cheers to them both! I, of course, turned to Wikipedia to find out if either of them, say, talks to trees, or is banned from any principality, or once was a drug runner. Apparently not, but that is how I learned that Max -- as I call him -- is descended from a man Wikipedia euphemistically refers to as "a highly decorated German army officer declared missing in 1944 yet only legally declared dead in 1969." (So....a Nazi, who possibly fled to Argentina?) His grandmother is Queen Margrethe of Denmark's sister. I think. My inability to read German has stymied me a bit. Thank goodness [Hello! has us somewhat covered](https://us.hellomagazine.com/weddings/12016080916430/prince-maximilian-sayn-wittgenstein-berleburg-franziska-balzer-wedding/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io), although I also read that Max's sister Lilly is called "the party princess," and obviously I need to know more about THAT.

"I like that waistcoat," Prince Harry mutters from Malawi, where he's currently working on a elephant conservation project (seriously, I didn't make that up. That is literally where Harry is right now).

## Beatrice Borromeo

![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2016/08/GettyImages-586840574.jpg)

Beatrice Borromeo is in Mallorca now, and looks fabulous as usual -- although that statement necklace might be making too much of a statement for me, personally.

## Mia and Mike Tindall

![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2016/08/GettyImages-586850028.jpg)

Back in England, Mia Tindall continues to be adorable.

## Felipe and Letizia

![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2016/08/GettyImages-587124948.jpg)

And, in Spain, people continue to be attractive and wear attractive things.

## King Felipe

And also to steer boats.

[Royals Round-Up, August 12, 2016NO ONE is having a better time at the Olympics than Prince Albert. HE IS HAVING THE BEST TIME. (Charlene stayed home because of Zika.) The slideshow today brings Olympics shenanigans, a few fab day dresses, a cute baby, a random royal-ish wedding, and MORE BOATING. Elsewhere of interest, you may enjoy the following: -- This is super-interesting, in The Independent: Dark Ages royal palace discovered in Cornwall – in area closely linked to the legend of King Arthur -- Princess Eugenie had a big interview -- and photo shoot -- in Harper's Bazaar. I chuckled at this bit: "6:00 P.M. I'll go home, change, and go to the event. I love trying new looks. I don't want to be pigeonholed. You wear the same thing twice? Great. If you don't, great!" -- Speaking of the Sisters York, I'm sure you've heard that Princess Beatrice and her boyfriend, Dave Clark, are "on a break"/dunzo. Onward and upward, Bea! -- Hello! (of course) has all the deets on an obscure Euro Royals Wedding that's set for next summer, which will be enjoyable because they always are, but the best part of this article is the kicker: "Princess Caroline of Monaco would not attend given that she is estranged, but not divorced, from her husband Prince Ernst." I love a royal estrangement! -- The Duke of Westminster died suddenly this week at 64, leaving literally billions and his ginormous estate to his 25 year-old son, who is Prince George's godfather. I am linking to the Daily Mail's coverage of this because, say what you will about them, they generally have the most obscure and fascinating details about posh personages, and this includes a very interesting sidebar about the family's wealth as it began in literally the 17th century. -- I could read about this particular tiara ALL DAY. \[Order of Splendor\] -- The Guardian has a fascinating piece about Emperor Akhito's desire to retire, and the complicated political situation in Japan as it relates to their Imperial family. I am less informed about the history of the Imperial House of Japan than I am about, say, the Brits, and I would love to learn more, so if you have any book recommendations, please let me know in the comments. Speaking of books, I mentioned this in a post earlier this week about good vacation reads, but I'm currently reading Daughter of Empire: My Life as a Mountbatten, as recommended here, and it is JUICY. I really think if you enjoy Royals Round-Up, you will find it highly entertaining.![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/bf/b9/bfb99790-924d-4e41-a7e6-5e3c6e04fe57/content/images/static-gofugyourself-com/uploads/2016/08/gettyimages-588141324.jpg)](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/royals-round-up-august-12-2016-08-2016/)
