Prince Carl Philip competes at Scandinavian Porsche Carrera Cup race
Don't worry: Prince Carl Philip is still racing around in fast cars, looking hot, this summer.
Princess Sofia and babies
Informative Caption tells us that here we see "Princess Sofia with her children, Prince Gabriel and Prince Alexander, prepare for a visit to the Gellerasen Motor stadium in Karlskoga, Sweden....They were accompanying Prince Carl Philip of Sweden (not in picture) who been competing as a racing driver in various touring car championships and endurance races in Scandinavia." Puppies AND baby Uggs!
Queen Elizabeth visits Braemar and Crathie Parish Church
Meanwhile, Her Maj popped out to the church bake sale. (I think Philip actually might have gone to this too -- he did an engagement with her of some sort this week. He must be antsy at Balmoral.)
Sophie Wessex
And the Wessexes are also still in Scotland -- Sophie looks like she might go shoot some birds after this, in that hat.
Longines FEI European Championships, Rotterdam
Here, Crown Princess Mary is hanging out with the Danish team during the Longines FEI European Championships, which I BELIEVE is horse-y something or other? She looks very INVESTED in it.
Crown Princess Victoria visits Simrishamn
In stripes, on a boat? KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, MADAME!
Funeral of Princess Christina, The Hague
Per Informative Caption, this is "Princess Margriet, Pieter Van Vollenhoven, King Willem-Alexander, [and] Queen Maxima during the funeral procession from the Dome of Fagel to the Coach House on the grounds of Noordeinde Palace for the Funeral of Princess Christina." There must have been a Festive Dress Dress Code for this funeral, which I think is a lovely idea. The Court Jeweller has good coverage of this funeral. Princess Christina's Wiki is quite interesting. (Her near-blindness as a child caused a scandal because her mother fell under the spell of a faith healer! Presumably her mother felt responsible because Christina's blindness was due to her mother having caught rubella during her pregnancy, and that all just spiraled. [Of course, getting rubella is NOT anyone's fault, but I think it would be human nature for a person to perhaps blame herself for this and then for things to get wonky.]) I think she was Wax's....great aunt?
