Royals Round-Up January 26th 2018

Princess Eugenie

Our freshly berothed Princess Eugenie looks VERY blissed out as she frolics around London this week, and why wouldn't she? Also, this dress is cute.

I LOVE this Cape Coat. (It's by Chloe, and it IS on sale.) In other pics, you can tell that she's actually wearing her engagement ring at this event, but I guess no one was paying THAT much attention because the news didn't really break until they announced it.

Queen Elizabeth II

Her Majesty looks very pert and elegant in green as well. That hat is rather modern, considering.

Sophie Wessex

Sophie went to Belfast this week. Let's turn to Informative Caption: "The new £13m Northern Ireland Hospice building in Belfast was officially opened today by the Her Royal Highness The Countess of Wessex. Good for her! Everyone here looks quite nice.

Chaz and Cams visit Cheshire

MEANWHILE, IN CHESHIRE.

Camilla

Here, Cams "holds a chocolate bar after making a donation for a tuck shop charity during her visit of the Metropolitan Police Service Base in London, to learn about TecSOS, a technological innovation used to protect victims of domestic violence." I have never heard the term "tuck shop," so I looked it up: "A tuck shop is a small, food-selling retailer. It is a term principally used in the UK, Ireland, Grenada, South Africa, New Zealand, Jamaica, Australia, Pakistan, India, and occasionally in other parts of the former British Empire. In New South Wales and Queensland, the term is interchangeable with the word canteen. When the tuck shop is in a school, it is frequently the only place (other than the school canteen) where monetary transactions can be made. As such, particularly in the UK, they often sell items of stationery too, although food is still their primary source of income and customers. In Australia, at both youth clubs, campsites, and schools, the tuck shop is mainly staffed by volunteers from the community, which may include students, parents and, in the case of clubs, its members. The term is also used in Indian boarding schools. In Canada, summer camps often have tuck shops for the same reason, to allow campers to buy small items while away from home. Some hospitals in Canada have tuck shops too, though now it's more common for them to be called gift shops." LEARNING! (I sincerely was like, "do they mean TRUCK STOP?")

Princess Stephanie of Monaco and Pauline Ducruet

So, these two are off to the Monte Carlo International Circus Festival, which is this circus in Monte Carlo that goes on FOR. EVER. Anyway: Stephanie looks, frankly, great here. Pauline is her eldest - she's 23 -- and she also loooks good, so...carry on, ladies.

Queen Maxima

If Maxima looks less maximal here than she often does, it's because she's acting "in her role as the UN Secretary-General's Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development" and meeting with Panama's Vice President and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Isabel de Saint Malo de Alvarado.

Crown Princess Mary

Lots of Serious Business This Week, too, because here Crown Princess Mary is heading up to give a speech at the Council of Europe. That sounds important!

Queen Letizia

I should dislike these pants. And yet I love them.

Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Oscar

Crown Princess Victoria brought the kids out to watch Prince Daniel play in a hockey game to mark the opening of the Ockelbo multisports hall, Informative Caption tells me. LOOK AT THAT FACE.

Crown Princess Victoria, Princess Estelle

Estelle is unimpressed.

Prince Daniel

But this might be the first time I've thought Prince Daniel was hot?! IT'S A NEW WORLD.
