Somewhere in Purgatory (I assume he's still working some stuff off his record), Henry VIII is smiling. "I like this one," he murmurs. "THIS is exactly what I was going for!"

I am a sucker for the photos in which Wills is coaching George through his Princely Duties. It gives me Feelings.

Wills had the women of the English soccer team over for breakfast on Thursday and I LOVE this picture.

All I know is, judging from the expressions on everyone's faces, whatever story Wills is telling, it's JUICY.

I forgot to put this in the original post, and it just makes me laugh. The expression on her face, the heavenly lighting. It's like she's thinking, "my hair. IT'S PERFECT."

I'm sure they're talking about, like, which tea sandwich they love best (Sophie: chicken curry, Wills: egg salad), but it looks SO SERIOUS.

On a more somber note, let's turn to Informative Caption: "The Duke of Cambridge walks past the July 7 memorial in Hyde Park, London, as Britain remembers the July 7 attacks amid a welter of warnings about the enduring and changing threat from terrorism a decade on." There was also a wonderful shot of him hugging one of the victims, which wasn't available for my use. You can see it here.

This is a lovely photo; as ever, the royals photographers did an excellent job at this event.

This is also a great photo, with the gathering storm clouds. Per Informative Caption: "Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, speaks with pilot John Romain, Diane Lees the Director General of IWM and Thomas S. Kaplan (American philanthropist, art collector and donor of the Spitfire) as he visits the Imperial War Museum Duxford to receive a newly restored Supermarine Spitfire Mark I N3200 on behalf of the museum." I feel like he must have wanted to see if he could get that thing up for a spin.

This happened on July 3rd, when many of us were off drinking and lighting stuff on fire. But far be it from me to keep a photo of Wills in white polo pants and his former school chum Eddie Redmayne from you!

"FINALLY. Here he is." (This is William's arrival for today's big Battle of Britain 75th anniversary flypast/reception. I enjoy this uniform.)

Everyone on the BP Balcony today was an air commodore of some sort, honorary or otherwise, and this is how I learned that Sophie Wessex has an air commodore...ship? Good for you, Sophs! (So does Anne, but Anne wasn't there today; I don't know why. Off catching criminals elsewhere, I suppose.)

This is Flying Officer Ken Wilkinson "during a pre-lunch reception at the RAF Club in central London," and I think he just proposed to Sophie. Or proposed SOMETHING to Sophie. (I have my doubts about Sophie's hat.)

I don't really care about the shenanigans of Prince Andrew (his official shenanigans, I mean; I'm very interested in his personal gossipy shenanigans), but I could not resist this awesome picture of the Lord Mayor of London in his full regalia. (They too are leaving 7/7 memorial services.)

GREAT picture of Princess Anne sticking her head out of the side of a boat, or BEST picture of Princess Anne sticking her head out of the side of a boat?

Charles and Camilla went to Wales this week, where they did all manner of intriguing things, like bake cookies!

And pet tiny piglets!

And prepare Welsh youngsters for Teen Survivor! (I assume.)

Stare, confused, at a pint, as a bag of something called "MR PORKY'S" lurks in the background!

Pretend they don't know how to play darts, like they're not playing darts ALL THE TIME at home!

Drinking!

MORE DRINKING! (No one drinks at events more than Camilla. It delights me.)

Zara and Mike went to Wimbledon, and is not his nose the quintessential nose of the rugby player? He must snore something crazy.

Prince and Princess Michael of Kent also popped by Wimbledon (they, and Mike and Zara, were all there the same day as Wills and Kate). I like how PMoK looks like she just dashed away from her beekeeping.

Per Informative Caption, the Queen and Phil "review members of The Queen's Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard in the garden at Buckingham Palace." AS ONE DOES.

"Look, do you mind signing a headshot for us? Thanks ever so."
In reality. she's visiting the headquarters of the Royal Auxiliary Air Force's (RAuxAF) 603 Squadron in Edinburgh.

Charlotte Casiraghi popped over to Paris for Fashion Week. She looks (as ever) beautiful, but also (not totally as ever) rather like she's wearing a great backsplash.

Maxima and King W-A popped over to the Volleyball World Championships (it was the Netherlands v. Brazil). AS ONE OUGHT.

Maxima, of course, wore a turban at some point this week, because that's what she does.

As you may have gathered from the title of this slide, this is the Dutch Royal Family Summer Photocall, which I presume is sort of the sandy version of the British Royal Family's Klosters Ski Photocall.

This is my favorite of all the shots, for, I think, obvious reasons.

When the Tour de France goes through Belgium, the King likes to pop out and give everyone the thumbs up!

FYI, Letizia wore her leather dress again.

They also hosted the President of Peru this week, and this is Letizia -- looking very crisp -- with the President wife, Nadine Heredia Alarcon.

AND THEN THERE WAS A BALL! Isn't it nice to end this on a tiara?
