Vanity Fair seems to promise a very good issue if you're into this sort of thing -- Katie Nicholl seems to have been hard at work; this link has teaser tid-bits --and if you aren't, why are you reading this post?! VF is very satisfying for royals coverage. Also for coverage of rich people murdering each other, which I also like.
"Oh my god, Wills. Close up...YOU'RE HIDEOUS."
"You're hilarious."
Per our photo service: "Britain's Prince William, The Duke of Cambridge, is pictured as he snorkels with British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC) members at a swimming pool in central London on July 9, 2014. In May 2014, The Duke of Cambridge followed in the footsteps of The Prince of Wales and The Duke of Edinburgh by becoming President of BSAC, the UK's governing body for scuba diving." I can only imagine the reaction Harry had to this photo -- I presume the word "goober" was used -- and I hope Kate has it screened onto canvas and is hanging it over the fireplace.
Okay, that's better. Put THAT ONE over the fireplace, Kate.
"Read this, Harry. Read it aloud."
"I CAN READ."
"Can you? PROVE IT."
"BLUE BLAZERS! Let's DISCUSS!"
This is the launch of "The Queen's Young Leaders Programme," which you can tell is classy because of how "programme" is spelled. This is also the event at which the Brothers Wales took this selfie, which involves a LOT of pointing.
"We hope we get to keep this intriguing silver item. It looks just right to brain our enemies with, should they sneak into our rooms at night."
I feel like the Queen is given a LOT of hampers. I hope The Ladies of Her Bedchamber (if such people still exist) get to take home the raw honey and giant tubes of salami (I assume) are in them.
The info about this event is amazing. Ahem: "The Countess of Wessex, visits Cobham, Surrey. During the visit she watched a duck race on the river where the ducks were named after members of the royal family. She didn't seem too pleased when Prince Andrew romped home. She then conducted a local band much to the delight of the band members." AS ONE DOES.
Clothes-wise, this is the skirt from this suit, which I noted last time we saw it would be better as separates. Thank God SOMEONE is listening to me.*
*AHAH! I have been informed that this is actually a dress with a jacket over it; this is just a NEW jacket. You can see the dress itself on her here. Thanks to Sophie Expert Anna N. for the intel!
This is the Air Academy graduation and I believe Letizia is thinking, in the words of the great philosopher Bridget Jones, "DING DONG!"
This is the 150th anniversary of Spanish Red Cross and I guess it's nice to see that her pantsuits have not been forcibly removed from her and she still looks like a TV District Attorney now that she is Queen. A very elegant DA. A Very Elegant DA is, I think, a line of novels sold in supermarkets in beach towns at the moment.
This is the Roskilde Festival which is, I believe, a music festival. They look SO INSANELY NORMAL, it's very cute.
"Now, have you called Kate back? She wants to know where you got your striped top. DO NOT forget to return her call."
