Maxima, I love your shoes. Have you strapped your scarf to yourself via your belt? I thought so. Carry on.

These two! We don't see them that often. I appreciate her snakeskin shoes, but man, Stephanie, I think you need to wear more color.

"Yes, Guillaume. This inclement weather is HILARIOUS."

He seems to adore her, which is quite charming. And while I kind of like this dress in theory, I hate this hat on her. Something about it makes her look about seventy-five years old, and as if she picked it up at the Dollar Store.

These seem a wee dreary. I honestly had a moment where I thought she might be in National Day costume, but I don't think so? I....have a lot of doubts about her outfit. Like..A LOT. She looks like a mash-up of Daisy Buchanan and Miss Havisham. (They are, btw, siblings, not married.)

And here are your Luxembourgers: Prince Guillaume, Princess Stephanie, Prince Felix, Princess Claire, Prince Louis, Princess Tessy, Princess Alexandra, and Prince Sebastien. I'm giving this to Tessy and Claire by a mile. (Tessy and Louis HAD A CHILD OUT OF WEDLOCK ESCANDELO!!! Somehow, she has persevered to look great.)

"Hi, Max, it's Mat. I'm going to China this week. Have you got any really wacky hats? Like something that will look like a pile of napkins perched perilously on my head? I really want to wow them! Thanks!"

This might be my favorite Informative Caption ever: "King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium visit the Han Show theater, co-created by Wanda Group and Dragone, whose stage performance exceeds the level of any performance in the world." Whoever is in charge of Informative Caption for this trip IS LOVING CHINA RIGHT NOW YOU GUYS.

SHE looks doubtful, but as far as I am concerned, this is totes acceptable.

This, from Queen Rania's Instagram, is GLORIOUS. I love it. I feel like Kate could totally get away with something like this. It's utterly modest and appropriate, but also not boring.

I always enjoy this dress on Letizia -- and so must she, as she wears it a lot.

Oh, also, Royal Ascot concluded between now, and last week's Royals Round-Up, and I thought you might want to see this snap of QE2 standing out like a scoop of orange sherbet amongst everyone else.

Lord Grantham popped by closing day. I feel like it's wholly possible that Hugh Bonneville was just wearing this on Saturday, anyway.

Her Maj and Phil are in Germany at the moment, riding on boats and meeting robots and whatnot. I have to say, I love that this hat appears to possibly double as a lovely airfilter.

"WHAT are we going to do about Harry, Liz? I DESPAIR of him ever taking a bride!"

This is the best thing. I hope she got to take the robot home. In fact, I imagine QE2 owning a robot who does a lot of stuff around the house -- pouring cocktails mostly -- in the manner of The Jetsons

This is the balcony of the city hall in Frankfurt, and I like to think that it's in QE2's rider that she has to wave from a balcony on every city that she visits. (Interestingly, I read on Wikipedia -- unimpeachable historic and architectural source that it is -- that this building was all but destroyed by Allied bombers during the war, and I've seen a photo of Hitler speaking on the original. It must be, even for the Queen, surreal and amazing to find herself there, even after all of these years. History, and the march of time, is a fascinating and often amazing thing.)

I love this kid's outfit. He knows the importance of dressing for a theme. (Her Maj seems to agree.)

It's rather sweet when tour 94 year old husband still picks up the flowers you accidentally drop.

Per Informative Caption, today the Queen and Prince Philip visited "the concentration camp memorial at Bergen-Belsen...The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh viewed the grave of Anne Frank and laid a wreath at the inscription wall, before they met two survivors of the camp and as well as two [British] liberators." The photographers kept a respectful distance here, which seems only appropriate. I am sure this was a very moving and somber part of their trip, and a very important one. The BBC has a good, and extremely affecting, article about this portion of their trip.

Meanwhile, these two are in Scotland. They appear to be boozing it up AND THEY ARE, but in fairness, let's allow Informative Caption to take it away: "The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay enjoy a drink during a visit to the refurbished Clutha bar on June 24, 205 in Glasgow, Scotland. The Duke and Duchess met with a number of people who have been involved in the restoration of the bar, including fundraisers from the Clutha Trust, a charity working to support young people in the aftermath of the helicopter crash in November 2013." Which sounds like it was a horrible tragedy -- a police helicopter crashed into the pub and killed ten people -- and the reopening thereof IS something to drink to, AND drinking is also highly apropos, considering.

At some point this week, Bea attended something called, "the launch of the Fashionista Biscuit Tin."

And Pips gets some love from Hello!, in an issue I might buy because why not. Also: This is a very very kind photo choice of Hello! WRT to the current amount of hair sprouting from William's scalp. (I swear that photo, by the way, dates from like four years ago.)

Talk about two people who appear to be attending TOTALLY DIFFERENT EVENTS. (They're both watching Charlotte compete in a jumping competition, something I feel that I know all about thanks to reading a Jilly Cooper book once.)
